Our primary sponsor is phil&teds. phil&teds has supported the Trust for five years in a number of ways. Each year the New Zealand company donates thousands of phil&teddy bears to help young children get through the emotional stress of surgery.
The bear programme aims to make children's surgery experience that little more 'bearable'. They realise that hospital can sometimes be a scary and lonely experience for anyone, let alone children. The phil&teddy bear is used to explain the surgical procedure to children before they undergo their operation. 'phil&teddy' is theirs to adopt, name and take home.
